Meet the Team
Jason Allen
LEEF Founder-
I was born and raised in Southern California, and for as long as I can remember, my entire life has had one theme: connecting with people.
Not just being around people, but genuinely connecting with them. Finding out what they need. Figuring out how I can make their experience better. I’ve always been drawn to that moment when you really see someone and they feel it. That drive has shaped every chapter of my life.
It was cemented at 24 when I spent a year living in South Africa. It was there that I first encountered Ubuntu, an ancient African humanist philosophy best translated as:
UBUNTU
“I am because we are.”Ubuntu centers on the idea that a person’s humanity is deeply intertwined with their relationships to others, prioritizing community, empathy, and collective well-being.
That philosophy has never left me.
That year also taught me to slow down and be present in a way I hadn’t been before. Both of those lessons quietly became the foundation of the LEEF Method years later.
Growing up, soccer was my world. I played throughout my youth, and when my playing days ended, I turned to coaching. What I loved most wasn’t the drills or the tactics. It was figuring out how to truly understand each player so I could pass on what I had learned—not just as a player, but as a person. To make them better on the field and beyond it.
For years, I also worked in restaurants as a server and bartender. Some people see that as just a job. For me, it was something else entirely: dozens of small moments every shift where I had the opportunity to make someone’s experience genuinely better. I took that seriously every single time.
As much as I loved those chapters, something was missing. I took some time to reevaluate, and that’s when I found massage therapy.
It clicked immediately.
As a lifelong athlete, I knew what it felt like to be on a table and have someone truly give your body exactly what it needs. I wanted to be that person for others.
I signed up for a program, became a Certified Massage Therapist in the state of California, and started working. After a few months in a spa, COVID shut everything down and forced me to go independent. That’s when LEEF Massage was born.
Over the next several years, I developed the LEEF Method, a bodywork system built on presence, intention, and the belief that real healing happens when two people are truly in it together.
Every session is an opportunity to make someone feel seen and cared for. Ubuntu, in practice.
As I started sharing my work on social media, something unexpected happened. Therapists from all over the world began reaching out, not just curious about the technique, but moved by it.
That’s when LEEF House was born.
It’s a place where therapists come to get certified in the LEEF Method, and my hope is that they leave with something much more transformative: a community that feels more like a family.
If any part of this story resonates with you, I’d love to meet you there.
“I am because we are. Everything I do starts there.”

I was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, but I've always had a curiosity for the world beyond it. Travel, new experiences, and meaningful connections with people have shaped much of my life.
Before discovering bodywork, I spent years working in hospitality. Looking back, what I enjoyed most was never the work itself. It was the people. I loved creating experiences, building relationships, and making others feel welcome and comfortable.
My path into bodywork started with a lifelong appreciation for massage and human touch. I've always been fascinated by the way touch can help people slow down, relax, and reconnect with themselves. After attending my first Lomi Lomi training, something clicked. For the first time, I could see a path that combined my love of connection, movement, and helping others.
That journey eventually led me to California, where I spent nearly two weeks training with Jason and immersing myself in the LEEF Method.
One of the things I value most is my ability to connect with people quickly and genuinely. I believe everyone wants to feel seen, accepted, and cared for, and I try to bring that into every session. My goal is to create an environment where people can let their guard down, take a deep breath, and simply be themselves.
I don't see bodywork as something that is done to a person. I see it as something that is shared between two people. The trust, presence, and connection that develop during a session are often just as meaningful as the work itself.Today, I call Vancouver home and work from my private studio, where I have the privilege of meeting incredible people from all walks of life. If you're curious about LEEF Massage or simply looking for a different kind of experience, I'd love to welcome you to my table.
The Path Into LEEF
LEEF isn't a certification you add to a wall — it's a way of working that changes how you show up for every client. Whether you're new to the industry or years into your practice, this is how therapists find their way in.
1.
Take an Online Course
The first step is getting a feel for the LEEF Method — what it is, how it moves, and what makes it different from anything you've likely experienced. The online course is an introduction designed to give you an honest look at the work before you commit to anything more.
If it resonates, you'll know. If it doesn't, that's okay too.
2.
Attend a LEEF House retreat
LEEF House is a week-long residential training intensive where you learn the LEEF Method in full — hands-on, immersive, and led by Jason and Paul. This is where the work gets in your body, not just your head.
Graduates leave as LEEF Certified Practitioners, authorized to use that designation in their marketing and practice. Certification doesn't expire, and it doesn't require renewal. You earn it once, and it's yours.
3.
Join the LEEF Collective
The LEEF Collective is a curated global network of certified practitioners who exemplify what LEEF looks like at its best. Membership isn't applied for — it's offered to those who demonstrate true LEEF excellence in their work and how they carry the practice.
Collective members are featured on the LEEF website and promoted across our social platforms, connecting them with clients and communities who are specifically looking for this kind of work.
